Patrica Arquette slams E!'s Mani Cam red carpet gimmick

Patricia Arquette brought the house down with her equal-pay-for women Oscars acceptance speech, and by the time she made it backstage to the press interview room, she was still fired up.

She talked about fashion, yes, but only to mention that her best friend Rosetta Getty designed her Oscars dress and that they're working on a charitable project together. Oh, and she dissed the Mani Cam, which has taken a beating this awards season.
Again, I think we need federal laws that are comprehensive (to ensure equal pay for women). People think we have equal rights; we don’t. Until we pass a constitutional amendment and pass the ERA once and for all, we won’t have anything changed. I’m wearing a dress my best friend designed. I think she was the first person who ever said, "What do you want to be when you grow up?" I said I want to be an actor. She said, "I want to be in fashion." … It’s like wearing love. … Instead of getting a manicure for the dreaded Mani Cam, I tried to pull pictures because we started a sweepstakes for our charity to do ecological sanitation for the world.
