Twitter thinks that Octavia Spencer watch-the-box Oscars joke is kinda racist

It probably seemed funny in rehearsals, but the whole watch-the-box joke is not going over so well on Twitter.

Some viewers say the gag feels a little like a sequel to The Help and that Octavia Spencer, an Oscar winner, shouldn't be made to feel like she's working.

But, that's not the only thing getting people upset.

Neil Patrick Harris started the night off with a joke about honoring the "whitest brightest stars" in Hollywood, and some are accusing the Academy of padding the presenters list with actors of color.
