Cumberbatch continues honeymoon at Weinstein pre-Oscar bash

On Saturday night before the Oscars, the question hanging in the air at the Weinstein Co. pre-Oscars bash was -- who wasn't there? Oprah Winfrey, Leonardo DiCaprio, Keira Knightley, Anna Wintour, Jennifer Lopez, Amy Adams, Marion Cotillard and Kerry Washington were only a few of the faces socializing inside the glamorous ballroom at the Montage Hotel in Beverly Hills. Off to one side of the Fiji-sponsored affair, the newly married Benedict Cumberbatch kept an arm around his wife, Sophie Hunter, as the two chatted with David Oyelowo. Here's a look inside the event:

This was a VIP party-turned-Broadway workshop. "When I was a kid I used to read about the movie business and you'd always read about Judy Garland and Gene Kelly, the night before the Oscars they'd sing and put on some sort of show and just have a lot of fun," said Harvey Weinstein. Guests were treated to scenes still in development from the upcoming play Around the World in 80 Days, with James Corden, Gary Barlow and Nicole Scherzinger taking the stage to preview scenes and songs. After dessert, Kelsey Grammer introduced a set from his upcoming Weinstein-produced Broadway musical, Finding Neverland. "It's about a guy who doesn't want to grow up, basically," said Grammer, handing the microphone to co-star Matthew Morrison, who sang the show's title song, Neverland. Rita Ora also sang Play from the concept album.

And then, at the stroke of midnight, even this crowd turned into pumpkins. Celebs headed out the door, MAC gift bags in hand, to collect their cars -- the Oscars awaited, after all.
