A very brief history of Neil Patrick Harris and those tighty whities

You can debate whether Neil Patrick Harris killed it as the host of the Oscars.

One thing not up for discussion: the fact that he delivered a very good interpretation of Michael Keaton and those male undergarments.

Harris ran around during the show, clad in tighty whities. Sort of like Keaton did in the Oscar-winning movie.

Later in the night, after scoring a best director Oscar, Alejandro G. Iñárritu also name-checked those drawers.
"Tonight I am wearing the real Michael Keaton tighty whities," he said, of his leading man.
