Did AP just mistake accused murderer Robert Durst for Limp Bizkit's Fred Durst?

If you heard the name "Durst" before this week, there's a good chance you pictured Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst. But all the Durst talk recently has been about Robert Durst, the accused murderer and subject of HBO docu-series The Jinx.

Unfortunately, it seems the Associated Press has confused the two.

In his media blog, Jim Romenesko says a reader told him about this AP news alert:

Then, according to the blog post, AP sent a correction.

Not. Good.

By the way, Fred still is the singer of Limp Bizkit, as opposed to the "former" frontman. Just sayin.'
