What could two new speedsters on 'The Flash' mean?

The Flash has already established that Barry Allen is no longer the fastest man alive (he's at least the second), but what happens if we add two more speedsters to the mix?

Executive producer Greg Berlanti says that's entirely possible come season two. According to the Hollywood Reporter, at a Flash panel at PaleyFest Saturday, Berlanti said that they hope to bring on Wally West or Bart Allen, two speedsters who both don the Kid Flash moniker (and later in the comics, even the Flash identity).

But in a show brimming with multiple superhero origins and crossovers, do we have room for two more fastest men alive? Here's why you should be excited about seeing the Flash family get a little bit bigger with Wally West and Bart Allen.

Wally West could be a black Kid Flash

In the comics, Wally West is best known for his fiery red hair and happy-go-lucky attitude. Some '90s kids may also recognize him as the Justice League animated series' Flash, and the

.

As a huge fan of the Flash, Wally tries to recreate the accident that turned Barry into the scarlet speedster, and becomes the Flash's sidekick, Kid Flash. He also happens to be the niece of one Iris West, who in the TV show, is now an African-American woman. So this could be a chance for the DC Comics universe to sneak in a black superhero who is traditionally white, especially after Marvel is facing calls for a black Spider-Man.

Bart Allen could bring us back to the future

Now this is where things get complicated. The Flash has only touched on time travel with Harrison Wells possibly being from the future. But Bart Allen is definitely from the future, and things are going to get spoiler-y from here.

The grandson of Barry Allen and Iris West, Bart Allen travels from the 30th century to the present day, and becomes Impulse, another sidekick to the Flash. The reason he travels back, though, could have some connection to the TV show -- he ages at a hyper-accelerated rate, and has to be raised in a virtual reality machine. We saw Harrison Wells having some trouble with his legs vibrating at too fast and needing to

with tachyons. Could introducing a potentially spoiler-ific Bart Allen be the next step in finding out Harrison's backstory?
