Bethenny Frankel's very good reason for keeping her kid off TV

Real Housewives of New York City

"Everyone says it's because she's not allowed. Kids with microphones on them, it's not natural. I've chosen this. This season, it's me, it's my decision. I'm not bringing anybody into it," she told us.

Does she have any regrets about showing her wedding, marriage and family on TV?

"I don't believe in regret. Would I do anything like that again? No. I do think that fame and money and power can be, for certain people, a very bad thing. And can be the root of all evil. If people haven't had it and have it and then it's taken away, they do crazy things."

Did living such a public life contribute to her marital demise?

"I think certain elements of my career and success and life and lifestyle have made an exit infinitely more challenging. Got me?"

She and Hoppy have been engaged in a contentious divorce and custody battle. Frankel is very careful about what she says publicly.

"I have been completely quiet. I am not going to go trashing things."
