Christie Brinkley has dangerous encounter -- with a bird

Christie Brinkley was having a relaxing vacation in Turks and Caicos until things went terribly wrong.

You see, there was a bird, and she decided it needed saving.

Things didn't go as planned, and the supermodel ended up in a Miami hospital.

Luckily, "#itcouldhavebeenworse," and she's back on T&C resuming what looks to be a fabulous vacation.

She's even got daughter Alexa Ray by her side.
