'Walking Dead' producer teases 'very different' season 6
We may have a little while to wait until The Walking Dead returns with its sixth season, but that won't stop executive producer Robert Kirkman from driving fans crazy with teases.
Kirkman spoke at the 2015 National Association of Broadcasters Show alongside AMC president Charlie Collier and Stephen Yeun (who plays Glenn) about the upcoming sixth season of the show, which finally brings Rick back together with the first person he met during the zombie apocalypse: Morgan. As reported by TheWrap:
“Having Rick and Morgan together, finally, again is a huge deal, and it’s definitely going to be a big part of Season 6... Now it’s a very different Rick and a very different Morgan who are going to have a completely different relationship. And it’s the questions of how they’re going to interact, how they’re going to work together — if they’re going to work together — and what comes from those interactions is going to be basically the spine of season six.”
Kirkman also talked about the rumors of Glenn's death, teasing that there's "a lot of cool stuff" coming for Yeun's character this season. Yeun himself played pretty coy about Glenn's future, saying:
“The way that we make the show — the writers and everybody really want to focus on making things poignant and purposeful and meaningful. So if it were for Glenn to go, then it’s probably going to be awesome.”
"Awesome" may be a little too strong a term there, Stephen.
