Ed Sheeran is going to 'hound' the 'Game of Thrones' producers for a role
Game of Thrones fan and ginger extraordinaire (and world-renowned singer or something) Ed Sheeran wants to trade in his guitar for a Valyrian steel sword.
It sems that in addition to being Taylor Swift's BFF and an adorable wedding crasher, Ed Sheeran wants to stretch his acting chops and appear on the bloody HBO fantasy show. He told The Sun:
"There were talks ages ago of me being an extra, which wold have been cool. But every time they shoot it's the time I tour in the UK. But I've got that time off this year, so I'm going to hound them."
If he were to cameo in the show, he would follow the leads of Coldplay drummer Will Champion, Snow Patrol singer Gary Lightbody and Icelandic band Sigur Ros. Since produers David Benioff and Dan Weiss are as geeky about music as the rest of the world is about their show, Sheeran might have a shot.
We hope he gets to be a member of the Night's Watch just so we can watch him freak out about Jon Snow's sword in the show just like he did in real life.
