Matthew McConaughey's 'Interstellar' character gets really emotional over the new 'Star Wars' trailer

After the release of the new trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens on Thursday, fans were getting pretty emotional about it. How can you not have all the feels when watching it? Between the throwbacks to the original trilogy, the swelling John Williams score and the cuteness that is BB-8, the trailer is basically designed to make us cry.

And we weren't the only ones. Matthew McConaughey's character from Interstellar was getting pretty worked up about it too. Or at least, that's what it looks like in this edited version of a scene from the movie. One very, very clever fan replaced video diaries from Coop's family with the trailer, and the moments where McConaughey smiles, laughs and cries are shockingly appropriate. This is basically the best thing we've seen since the new Star Wars trailer itself.
