Princess Leia without hair buns? 'Star Wars' fans wig out

Carrie Fisher dropped a bombshell announcement on Thursday.

The actress said she will not wear the famed Princess Leia hair buns in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. This hair has become synonymous with her beloved character.

But speaking at the "Star Wars Celebration," Fisher said:
"The buns are tired now. We’re probably not going to see the futuristic buns. But we have something else."
