Han Solo and Chewie cover 'Vanity Fair' 'Star Wars' issue

Remember when we all collectively freaked out seeing Han Solo and Chewbacca in the new The Force Awakens teaser?

Well, here they are again — this time, on the cover of the new Star Wars issue of Vanity Fair. The original trilogy stars are joined by newcomers Finn (John Boyega), Rey (Daisy Ridley) and that adorable little droid BB-8.

The band of heroes was photographed by Annie Leibovitz, with more portraits and video due on Vanity Fair's website Monday (aka "May the Fourth"). The full June issue hits newsstands May 12, and we're really hoping we'll finally get a look at older Luke and Leia.

As SlashFilm points out, this isn't the first time Star Wars has covered the magazine. All three prequels were given spreads:

The Phantom Menace (1999)

Attack of the Clones (2002)

Revenge of the Sith (2005)
