Kalinda's boots were made for walking - right off 'The Good Wife'

Kalinda said goodbye on The Good Wife Sunday night. But don't waste time getting all sappy. She wouldn't want that.

We knew it was coming. We waited for it. After all, actress Archie Panjabi's departure from the show was announced months ago.

In the episode, Kalinda sat down for some shots with her friend and Good Wife title character Alicia Florrick (Julianna Margulies) and exchanged some niceties in that Kalinda-Alicia way.

A flurry of excitement bubbled up on Twitter as observers speculated about how the two female characters hadn't been spotted in a scene in more than 50 episodes of the popular CBS drama.

But, alas, even the farewell scene between the two onetime BFFs was not a real reunion. Margulies and Panjabi were not in the same room together shooting the scene. Body doubles were used.

But we have no doubt that Kalinda has moved on.

And at the end of the episode, the lady known for her boots proved that they were made for walking. She had an exchange with drug kingpin Lemond Bishop's henchman attorney, who actually offered to partner with her, but she put on her sunglasses, turned away and strutted off into the streets of Chicago.

Where will she end up is anyone's guess.
