Letterman already has a new gig in mind

Some people, on the eve of their retirement, might be mired in malaise.

Not David Letterman. He has plans. Big plans.
"By God, I hope to become the new face of Scientology," he said during his last show.
No but seriously, said Letterman, during his final Late Show, "Emotions are running high in this building."

Given that he admitted to his affairs on his show, and apologized to his wife Regina Lasko, Letterman has some stuff on his mind as he exits his gig.
When he screws up going forward, lamented Letterman, "I have to go on somebody else's show to apologize."
