Ben Stiller on late mother: We were 'lucky to have had her'

After sharing the news that his mother, actress and comedienne Anne Meara, died on Saturday at age 85, Ben Stiller took to Twitter to thank friends and fans "for all the kind words about Anne." He tweeted:

In a statement to the Associated Press, the Stiller family said:
"Anne's memory lives on in the hearts of daughter Amy, son Ben, her grandchildren, her extended family and friends, and the millions she entertained as an actress, writer and comedienne." Ben's father Jerry Stiller was Anne's "husband and partner in life."
