'Vogue' decided to take over dressing the Tonys and this is what happened
Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour adores the theater.
But when it comes to the fashions on Tonys red carpet, perhaps she feels that Broadway's best could do, well, better.
So she decided to take matters into her own hands and help select stars step it up this year.
“We’re so honored to help some of the nominees," she tells us. "We have a great history of supporting theater.”
But it wasn't just the nominees that seemed to have an extra dose of glamour this year: with a mix of designers and It Girls, the Tonys red carpet reminded us of the Met Gala.
