The one character who's in 'Jurassic Park' AND 'Jurassic World'




Since Jurassic World takes place 22 years after the tragic events of Jurassic Park, the film has an entirely new cast of characters.

Well, except for one guy.

Dr. Henry Wu, played by B.D. Wong, seems to be the only person in both the first and fourth movies in the Jurassic franchise. Wong explains why his character, the chief geneticist for the dinosaurs, has stuck around:
"(As for all of the other characters,) either a person expired, or they wouldn't have any logical reason to be in this particular movie. My character is the one person who it hasn't been explained what happened to him, and would be in this situation, continuing to do the work that he was doing before. He would not have quit."
The work that Dr. Wu continues is on gene-splicing to create dinosaurs. Like that brand-new Indominus rex:
