Exclusive video: These cats are terrifying in CBS' 'Zoo'
Lions and … Well, you can just stop there. Lions – Oh, my!
The king of the jungle – or, more appropriately, the savannah – wants to chomp on some humans in this exclusive video clip from the new CBS drama series, Zoo (Tuesday, 9 p.m. ET/PT), which is based on a novel by bestselling author James Patterson.
In the clip, American zoologist and safari leader Jackson Oz (James Wolk) and French investigator Chloe Tousignant (Nora Arnezeder) are on the run after lions maul other people, but the pesky critters want them to stay for a bite. There's no Hakuna Matata going on here.
This attack is just one of many in Zoo, which looks at what happens when the animal kingdom, including lions and tigers and bears (His last name is Oz), turns on mankind.
Wolk has enjoyed the varying physical environments and the range of animal species, including leopards, bears and wolves, he has encountered during filming in Louisiana, which is made to look like places all over the world.
"It’s fun. It makes every day different. It's not like going into the law office or hospital every day," he says (or advertising agency, either, as Wolk is an alum of both Mad Men and The Crazy Ones). "Each episode feels really different and looks really different. We're at least fictionally globe-trotting."
