Binge-watchers, rejoice: All of 'Seinfeld' is now on Hulu
Just in time for summer, all of Seinfeld's 180 episodes arrived on Hulu Wednesday at midnight. Because who needs actual friends when you have Jerry, George, Elaine and Kramer, right?
But the Seinfeld buffs and binge-watchers heading to Hulu for an epic viewing marathon won't be able to indulge for free.
While some shows and clips are available on Hulu for anyone to watch, viewers will have to sign up for a Hulu Plus subscription to stream Seinfeld. Subscriptions cost $7.99 per month or $95.88 per year.
If you really want to challenge yourself to binge 180 episodes in 7 days, Hulu Plus offers a one-week free trial.
And a warning to everyone used to Netflix's seamless viewing experience: even with the subscription fee, viewers will still have to watch accompanying ads, which some fans griped about last night on Twitter:
Hulu even apologized to some Twitter users, ruling out the possibility of ad-free viewing (for now, at least).
The show almost headed to Netflix, but backed down because of the steep price tag, estimated to cost Hulu $700,000 -$900,000 an episode. Thankfully, Netflix snagged Friends instead.
