David Duchovny grateful to 'X-Files' online following, seems confused by Tumblr

David Duchovny may be a master of alien mythology, but he's pretty useless when it comes to the Internet. But whether he understands it or not, he's still happy to be doing the six-episode miniseries revival of The X-Files coming out next year, spurred on by a rabid online fandom. He told E! Online:
"I think that it has a very vocal online…following. I think they've been waiting a long time and they're probably the main reason we get to do this show," he said.

Duchovny's got a pretty big presence on Tumblr (the tag "foxy mulder" is very active if that gives you any sense). And despite a Tumblr blog named The Official David Duchovny Tumblr, he has even less of an idea of what Tumblr is, asking the interviewer, perplexed: "What is a Tumblr?"
