Sandra Bullock rocks outrageous Minion heels, confesses she's a Minion
Sandra Bullock wore her Minion love on her feet at the Hollywood premiere of Minions on Saturday.
She showed off fantastic Minion-esque high heels complete with eyes and naturally yellow. The Rupert Sanderson-designed shoes were the buzz of the yellow carpet (and will be auctioned off to charity).
But she doesn't need the shoes to get into her Minions character, super-villain Scarlet Overkill. Bullock told us she is literally already a Minion. And proved it.
Her proof of Minion-heritage:
"I'm always in a Minion state of mind. It's impossible for people to understand me. I'm constantly making odd sounds and things are always a disaster where I am. But somehow, I always get out alive. I'm basically a Minion."
Bullocks said she's thrilled to be the first woman super-villain in the film opening July 10. Scarlet is such a great villain, that the Minions are drawn to follow her.
"It's a job I'm very proud to step up into. I think it's appropriate. I am a bit of a bitchy villain. And I think it's appropriate I was typecast. It's perfect."
Bullock says it was hard to find the right villain part, which is why she's taken so long to step into a role like this.
"They don't write villain roles for women. But in this I was able to do the funny villain. And that made me feel really good. And Scarlet Overkill has a good reason to be like she is. It's good to have a good reason."
