Watch: JLaw trades a bow for a shotgun in 'Joy' trailer (oh and Bradley Cooper's there too)
Another day, another movie directed by David O. Russell starring Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper.
That's right, the Silver Linings Playbook and American Hustle director is back with his favorite duo (and Robert DeNiro!) for Joy, which follows JLaw as the titular character who is, according to the official synopsis, "a girl who becomes the woman who founds a business dynasty and becomes a matriarch in her own right." If you don't get exactly that from the trailer, that's OK because we didn't either, since it's mostly brief flashes of the film. But there are plenty of shots of JLaw doing her bad ass JLaw thing, although this time she has a shotgun instead of a bow and arrow. It's based on the life of Joy Mangano, who invented the Miracle Mop, so we're guessing mopping will make an appearance at some point.
Considering Joy comes out at Christmas and it brings JLaw, Cooper and Russell back together, we'd say it has "Oscar buzz" written all over it.
