So how did Sam Smith recover from surgery? By modeling for Balenciaga
That's our guy!
It's been a harrowing few months for Sam Smith, who went under the knife in May after suffering from vocal chord bleeding.
But the singer's voice was in good hands — after all, he saw the same surgeon who treated Adele for the same condition. And following months of rest, Smith posted on his Instagram that he's healed, healthy and ready to sing on his upcoming string of tour dates.
"So just want to keep everyone in the loop; I have been in Boston the last few days to have a check up on my throat, before I embark on my American tour," he wrote in the caption. "MY THROAT IS LOOKING BLOODY FANTASTIC."
So what's Sam been doing the past few months?
Working with Balenciaga, for one thing.
The singer teased his upcoming collaboration, his first with a fashion designer, in a few shadowy, mysterious posts on Insta. Think black, combat boots, and more black.
On the singing front, Sam's first show back is a headlining set at Kentucky's Forecastle Festival on Friday. Will his vocals be able to reach his pre-surgery heights? Stay tuned...
