Twitter is rejecting the idea of LeBron James in 'Space Jam 2'
Who isn't excited about LeBron James inking a major Hollywood deal with Warner Bros. as announced Wednesday?
He killed it Trainwreck.
But the Twitter-sphere was NOT pleased about the idea of LeBron filling formidable Nikes left by Michael Jordan in any sequel to Space Jam, a concept which naturally flamed up again once the LeBron deal was announced.
For the record, no one has confirmed any venture into Space Jam's Looney Tunes world, much less with James in the Jordan role as basketball savior.
But media reporter Alex Weprin set the place on fire Wednesday when he pointed out that Warner Bros. had recently, and quietly, filed for renewed Space Jam trademarks.
