'Maze Runner' ups the action (and the insanity) in new 'Scorch Trials' trailer

The maze is gone from the Maze Runner series, but we're still a little lost.

A new trailer for Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials has hit the Internet and while it looks really fun and very action-packed, it is just a wee-bit confusing (and yes, I have definitely read this entire book series).

After escaping the maze at the end of the first movie and coming to a world ravaged by a plague, Thomas and friends (sorry, had to) are now dealing with real-world problems like evil corporations and scary infected people. It's all very exciting. It's also a little nuts, but we're totally on board, especially since Game of Thrones Aidan Gillen (aka Littlefinger) is being all ominous.

Hopefully we'll figure out what is going on when the movie hits theaters on Sept. 18.
