More Maverick? Tom Cruise is totally up for a 'Top Gun' sequel

Oh yesssss.

When it comes to all-time favorite Tom Cruise movies, Top Gun is right up there. His role as Navy pilot Maverick in the 1986 flick has become a classic, and apparently it's a role he's open to reprising.
"It would be fun. I would like to get back into those jets," Cruise told Reuters at the London premiere of Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation on Saturday night. "It would have to be practical. I don't want any CGI jets. I want to shoot it like how we shot the first one."
The comments come after Skydance CEO David Ellison was quoted last month as saying work on a Top Gun 2screenplay was underway. At the time, there weren't any cast deals set in stone.
