The trailer for the 'Deadpool' trailer is actually really hilarious

OK we'll be the first to admit, the idea of a "trailer for a trailer" is kind of ridiculous and might signal the peak of the hype parade surrounding superhero movies.

But we're willing to give it a chance if they're all as funny as the one for Deadpool.

In a not-actually-a-trailer clip we get to see a peek at "five-time Academy Award viewer" Ryan Reynolds as the Merc With a Mouth, sitting in a super classy chair and attempting to smoke a pipe (except he's wearing a mask). Is it kind of ridiculous? Yes. Is it definitely just a marketing stunt? Yup. Is it hilarious? Absolutely. You can watch the (obviously NSFW for language) trailer trailer below:

And while you wait for the official trailer (coming Tuesday, according to Deadpool himself), you can scroll through some photos for the movie, which has every indication of actually doing right by this character.
