This 'Harry Potter' theory will make you rethink everything you know about Dumbledore

It's been eight years since the last Harry Potter book was published, but somehow this series is stillmessing us up.

We mean, look how crazy we went over the possibility of a prequel about our favorite boy wizard on the stage (yes we know, J.K. Rowling, it's not a prequel), and we're definitely going to be first in line for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. But nothing stands up next to the original book series, which is somehow still throwing us for a loop with the latest fan theory that's circulating Tumblr.

So you guys remember this beautifully animated story about the Peverell brothers and the Deathly Hallows?

http://hernance.tumblr.com/post/66527179555/there-were-once-three-brothers-who-were-traveling?

The three brothers sought ways to conquer Death. The one who held the Elder Wand ended up dying because of his love for power. The one who held the Resurrection Stone killed himself because of a lost love. And the last one who had the Invisibility Cloak, lived a long and healthy life until he greeted Death as an old friend.

We know that there are some poignant parallels to our Harry Potter heroes and villains.

Severus Snape is the one who died for love

Voldemort is the one who died for power

And Harry is the one who greeted death as a friend

But what part does Dumbledore play in all of this? This is the newest fan theory:

Dumbledore is Death

Other users pointed out (in NSFW language because it's Tumblr) that Dumbledore was also the one who gave Harry the Invisibility Cloak. Voldemort got the Elder Wand from Dumbledore's grave, and Dumbledore partnered with Snape because of Lily's death.

So yeah, is your mind blown?
