Harrison Ford awakens in the brand new 'Star Wars' poster, steals D23 fan event

The force that is Harrison Ford is truly awakened.

Ford stole the show Saturday at the Disney D23 fan event with an emotional appearance, following his March plane crash.

To boot, his Han Solo is also the breakout star of the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens poster given to fans during the event; the poster also features newcomers John Boyega (Finn) and Daisy Ridley (Rey).

Ford showed no traces of the limp that was evident during his first public emergence at Comic-Con in May  He walked easily onstage, waving to mad applause and told the crowd:
"You guys have made my life a very happy one."
It was enough to make a Wookiee roar.

Ford humbly gave credit to Star Wars creator George Lucas, who was honored yesterday at the Disney legends event.
“I’m very happy following in the footsteps of George Lucas, the author of the early chapters of my story. I’m delighted to be here with J.J. (Abrams) and this wonderful cast. ... It’s a great thrill to be here with you; you have made this whole thing happen. I couldn’t be happier.”
Like the tweet says. It was a memorable day.
