Listen: Lana Del Rey is peak Lana on her new song, album cover
Commencing countdown, engines on. It's just four weeks till Lana Del Rey releases her second album, Honeymoon. We've finally got a cover, along with a new track, Terrence Loves You, that quotes David Bowie's Space Oddity.
The cover photo, which Del Rey posted to Instagram early this morning, features the singer in a big floppy hat and white sunglasses, with her folded arms resting on an open-air Starline Tours vehicle.
As far as the new song goes, Terrence Loves You is the kind of brooding, mysterious mood piece we've come to expect from her, full of deep-twang guitar, whispering saxophone and lyrics like "I lost myself when I lost you." It's plenty spacey for a Bowie reference, and perfect for a languorous summertime Friday afternoon.
