Watch: Justin Bieber tells Jimmy Fallon why he cried at the 'VMAs' on 'Tonight'
Remember when Justin Bieber broke down after his performance at the MTV VMAs on Sunday? And we were all kind of like:
When the What Do You Mean? singer appeared on The Tonight Show on Wednesday, he explained to host Jimmy Fallon exactly what brought on the emotions.
"I just wasn't expecting them to support me in the way they did... Last time I was at an awards show, I was booed."
*Winces* Yeah, that was rough.
So, the overwhelming support from the VMA audience just really touched the Biebs, so much so that the tears just fell like rain.
"I've worked so hard at this album; I've worked so hard at just becoming the man that I want to become. And then stepping into situations, you just can't help but feel judged. So I was just feeling judged and just wanting to win so badly and just wanting to do what I loved so badly that I just put everything on the line."
Awww! We're glad to hear that they were tears of joy and accomplishment–and, you know, not shed over something tragic like that awkward exchange between Nicki Minaj and Miley Cyrus.
