Further proof that Miguel is a class act.

The R&B singer teamed up with Make Room, an organization dedicated to alleviating America's affordable housing crisis, to play a special show for one very special mom.

He performed for Devona Rollins, a single mother and small business owner from Michigan, whose story of resilience in the face of financial strain is inspiring—and, sadly, all too common.

Devona's struggles were ones that Miguel could relate to, growing up with a single parent:
"I think coming from a single-parent family, understanding how challenging it can be to stay afloat—I know how difficult it could be when you're trying to do the best for your children, make ends meet."

"So to give people some kind of encouragement is really cool."
He talked racial identity with the audience before doing his song What's Normal Anyway:

Before breaking out two acoustic covers of his hits.

(And yes, he kept his sensual anthems appropriate for the kids in the audience.)
