Sam Smith might've just revealed he's singing the Bond theme

But now, the Grammy-winning British crooner seems to have confirmed the news for himself, with a cryptic tweet on Monday morning.

In the black-and-white image, Smith wears a ring with the silhouette of an octopus — which just so happens to be the logo for Spectre, a diabolical crime syndicate in Ian Fleming's James Bond novels that was last seen onscreen in 1971's Diamonds are Forever.

If you're somehow still skeptical about Smith's involvement, we should be getting a firm answer soon enough. According to HitFix, the new Bond theme song is set to make its debut Tuesday. And if it's anything like Adele's Skyfall, we know we're going to love it (the Academy might, too).
