Bieber showed off his bleached hair (and clashed with a cameraman) on 'TODAY'

Bieber's TODAY takeover was all about the fans.

They waited in the rain overnight to see their newly-returned idol perform on TODAY Thursday morning, with free pizza from Bieber's team as a special thank-you.

And they were rewarded with the same super-serious Bieber that we saw at the VMAs—except now, his hair sweep is bleach-blonde.

Now that's a new look:

Bieber tried out his two new songs What Do You Mean and Where Are U Now?, rapped his way through the old favorite Boyfriend and slowed it down for an acoustic take on Baby, delivering strong vocals and going all-in on his dancing.

So much, in fact, that he even lashed out at the camera for impeding his moves.

In an unscripted moment at the end of his first song, What Do You Mean, Bieber got testy at the camera, calling it out for being in front of his face.

But it could've been way worse, given how wet the stage was from the morning rain—at least we didn't get a Bieber wipeout.

Instead, we got some sweet stage slides:

In a post-performance interview, Bieber spoke to the somber tone of his two most recent performances. "It just feels so great to feel the acceptance....I just feel judged and it's hard, but I'm feeling more confident lately."

He also explained his years away from music by chalking it up to his youth. "Life goes in places you never expected," he said. "I'm just a young man trying to figure it out like everyone else."

And when the TODAY crew asked him about potentially performing at the Super Bowl, he said he'd be interested. And he'd even be down to share the Super Bowl stage with Taylor Swift. "I think that would be great," he said, cracking a smile.
