This is way scarier than any of those news reports where they use a black light to demonstrate how filthy your hotel room really is.

The trailer for American Horror Story: Hotel was released on Thursday, and it's making us want to cancel all of our travel plans.

Co-creator Ryan Murphy shared the sneak peak of the show's fifth season on Twitter:

Where you can catch a good, but brief look at Lady Gaga's hotel owner character. The singer took to social to share her ghoulish enthusiasm for the project.

Maybe just make sure the lights are on when American Horror Story: Hotel premieres on Oct. 7. Just sayin'.
