Shailene Woodley has more mysteries, longer hair in first 'Allegiant' trailer

There is a lot going on in the first trailer for The Divergent Series: Allegiant. You have to get to the 0:50 mark for new footage, but once you're there it's all flashes of our favorite characters with guns, climbing over walls with grappling hooks, Shailene Woodley and Theo James kissing, exploring a wasteland and meeting Jeff Daniels in cool, futuristic rooms that don't look like the dystopian rooms we've seen before. So basically, it's a Divergent movie.

Considering how much of a tease this teaser trailer is, it's hard to unpack just exactly what we're going to be getting in this movie, which is going to be based on half of the book Allegiant. Book fans know that the second installment in the movie franchise, Insurgent, deviated wildly from the book it was based on, so it might just be anything goes for the last two movies. Which, considering how the book series ended, might not be the worst idea in the world. And hey, it looks pretty darn cool.

But here's the really confusing part of the trailer: How does Woodley's Tris have a bob all of a sudden? She had a pixie cut at the end of Insurgent. We just can't imagine enough time has passed for her hair to grow that much. Will there be a time jump? Does this dystopia have a secret hair tonic? Does Tris have a secret hair-growing superpower? INQUIRING MINDS WANT TO KNOW.

Anyways, The Divergent Series: Allegiant hits theaters in March of 2016, and will hopefully answer our questions.
