John Oliver calls Donald Trump's presidential campaign 'performance art'
John Oliver has made a name out of criticizing crazy U.S. practices and obsessions -- and now has has something to say about America's weirdest obsession since Gangnam Style: Donald Trump.
The Republican Party front-runner may be the conservative favorite to win the 2016 presidential seat for now, but Oliver isn't buying it. He told Paste BN that Trump's campaign is "performance art":
“I’m not worried about Trump fizzling out -- I hope he fizzles out. I’m hoping the passage of time takes the temporary fun diversion away from us.”
On the speculation that Trump's presence gave the GOP debates great ratings, he said:
“That’s the most depressing of things: ‘Well, it’s getting great ratings.’”
