Helen Mirren's boobs are retiring from the screen

According to Helen Mirren, there is at least one upside to being an actress of a certain age in Hollywood: You don't feel as pressured to show the girls on screen.

"That's the good thing about getting older," she told The Good Wife's Alan Cumming in an online interview for CBS. "You don't have to do that sort of thing anymore. My pleasure pillows are purely for my husband now."

She was never all that jazzed about doing nude scenes but ultimately decided, "It was not the sort of thing to get your knickers in a twist about."

She's bared them a handful of times over the course of her storied career, beginning with films like 1969's Age of Consent, 1979's Caligula, the 2013 comedy Calendar Girls and that infamous 2011 SNL sketch in which the female cast members take turns seeking comfort in (and occasionally motor boating) her bosom.

Cumming was dying to know what Mirren thought when the SNL writers pitched her that idea.

"My response was total and immediate and incredibly positive!" she recalled. It was incredibly flattering."

"I wish someone would do that sketch with my (gentleman's sausage)," Cumming said with a note of envy.

And you gotta love Mirren's comeback: "Got good karma down there, darling?"
