Misty Copeland and Yo-Yo Ma class up 'The Late Show'
Stephen Colbert went classy last night by bringing onto The Late Show one of the most esteemed performers of this generation -- and Yo-Yo Ma.
Misty Copeland, fresh from her triumphant Broadway debut and soon to be the star of a documentary on her historic promotion to be the first African-American principal dancer at the American Ballet Theatre, performed an ethereal ballet dance to Bach's The Courante, played by renowned cellist Yo-Yo Ma.
It was a breathtaking change of pace for a show that has rarely dabbled in the classical arts, but it was amazing.
And to top it off, Colbert even interviewed Copeland about her meteoric rise to fame after her historic promotion.
