Paul Reubens is going to play this Batman villain's father (again)

Gotham  is getting a guest star who might look familiar to some Batman fans.

Paul Reubens (better known as Pee-Wee Herman to some) will be joining the show as the Penguin's father, Penguin actor Robin Lord Taylor confirmed on Twitter:

This would be a fun bit of casting news all on its own, but it's made even better by the fact that Reubens has already played this role, back in 1992's Tim Burton-directed Batman Returns.

This is almost as fun as Mark Hamill showing up on The Flash last season, reprising his role as The Trickster, who he played in the 90s TV show.

Gotham fans were also treated to a spoiler-filled sizzle reel at NYCC this weekend, featuring plenty of another new cast member, Michael Chiklis.
