The best looks from the amfAR Gala

Thursday night's amfAR Inspiration Gala in Los Angeles raised over $3M toward HIV/AIDS research, and brought out lots of the beautiful people. Supermodels, actors and musicians walked the red carpet in style for the classy event (tickets for donors went for a-few-thousand-dollars a pop) that honored Ryan Murphy.

So who raised the bar for fashion, while raising money? Here are a few picks:

So elegant! And the outfit looked good from the podium, which is where Paltrow spoke at the event.

OK, so the sheer shirt is not a look we usually go for, but this outfit truly worked in person. Seriously, Sharon Stone looked incredible at the event where she served as auctioneer.
