Watch: The new 'Jessica Jones' trailer is twisted, dark and sexy

Female superheroes may be having a moment, but don't think for a second that Jessica Jones is anything like Supergirl.

The second trailer for the Marvel and Netflix show, which follows a former superhero as a private investigator in New York, is sexier, darker, more action-packed and even a little more fun (in a really twisted way) than our first peak at it. And as a result we are even more excited for it than we already were.

The trailer gives us more of a peek into Jessica's (Krysten Ritter) relationship with one Mr. Luke Cage (who will be getting his own Netflix show in due time), her work as a private investigator and her fight against David Tennant's Purple Man. It's also gratifying that after the first trailer placed a huge emphasis on Jessica being stalked by the Purple Man, which worried us that she may be over-victimized, this trailer is all about her taking care of herself. It puts the emphasis on her fighting the villain, as opposed to the villain tormenting her, which is a significant difference. Of course there's no way of knowing for sure how the show will balance (especially considering you can cut two different trailers like this), but it's what we have for now.

The full season of Jessica Jones drops on Netflix on Nov. 20, so mark your calendars.
