Today in "Mindy Kaling is our life coach" — during her Reddit AMA yesterday, the actress/writer/mogul answered this fan question, which was basically Mindy bait:

Think she was going to describe a dramatic scene straight from the Mindy Project involving wardrobe malfunctions, bait-and-switches and/or inappropriate bodily functions?

Wrong:

In typical Mindy fashion, she low-key wrecks us just when we're least expecting it. Because who hasn't been in a bummer romantic situation like that?

Good to know that even a certified Hollywood goddess has disappointing just-friends dates sometimes.
