Justin Bieber powers through sound issues on 'Today'

All hail the Biebs.

Perhaps we didn't have enough faith in him, but Justin Bieber is officially BACK (we did give his new album a 4/4 star review) and he's acting like it. Gone are the days (we hope) of walking out of concerts and interviews. Just look at his appearance on the Today Show on Wednesday. Performing his single Sorry for their concert series, things sounded a little ... weird. Maybe it was his earpiece or the fact that the audio in general was way too quiet or something else altogether, but the performance was definitely a little off.

Everything sounded OK during the soundcheck, though:

And by his next song all was smooth again:

And to his credit, the Biebs finished out his set and his interview with Matt Lauer gracefully:

"(Purpose) just reflects where I am right now," he told the host. "It's been a long journey, but I think I'm in the best place I've ever been."

He got a little steamy with Halsey on The Feeling:

His cardigan game was ON POINT:

He even took an obligatory selfie with Al Roker:

We're pretty comfortable saying he rocked it. Way to be, Biebs.

And just since it's in our heads now, let's watch that amazing Sorry video one more time:
