Musical chairs at American Music Awards?

The number of people professionally affected by a celebrity breakup is larger than you think.

Take, for instance, the awards show producers who must shuffle the seating chart at the eleventh hour to keep the newly minted exes at a comfortable distance from one another. And the production assistant who has to move the placards around the auditorium.

So when news broke Friday that Kylie Jenner and rapper Tyga were no more, TMZ reports, that set off a game of musical chairs for Sunday's American Music Awards. Apparently, they'll be a few rows apart now. No word yet on whether A$AP Rocky, her companion from Friday night's clubbing excursion, will get Tyga's seat.

Though if this Snapchat item can be believed, those poor AMA staffers may just throw up their hands and run screaming from the building.

In happier, side-by-side seating news, the story says Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton will make their formal awards-show debut.
