'Hunger Games' ranking: Most awkward kisses
Most fans of the Hunger Games franchise root for heroine Katniss Everdeen to end up with compassionate baker Peeta Mellark (as opposed to hunter/warrior Gale Hawthorne). The very dedicated readers and viewers call this couple Everlark (even though they could call it Katpee or Peeniss), and think that have everlasting love.
This is not something that is evident by the fictional pair's onscreen kisses and final film Mockingjay - Part 2, despite the fact that the two are literally in life-or-death situations.
Yes, we know Katniss is a strong, independent woman, and her love life is not at all the most important part of Hunger Games... but wow, those pecks were neither hot nor heavy.

1. Quarter Quell makeout with Peeta, Catching Fire
Peeta: "Nobody needs me." Katniss: "I do." Peeta grabs her face and gives her by far the most passionate kiss of the franchise, until Johanna interrupts.
2. On-camera kiss with ailing Peeta, Hunger Games
Peeta: "You're not gonna risk your life for me, I'm not gonna let you." Katniss: "You would do it for me, wouldn't you?" Peeta: "Why are you doing this?" She answers with soft smooch that Gale sees on TV.
3. Gale goes for it, Catching Fire
Katniss on her relationship with Peeta: "It was an act. I did what I had to do to survive, if I didn't I'd be dead." Gale grabs Katniss's head and lays a chaste kiss on her, before saying "I had to do that. At least once."
4. Katniss kisses almost-dead Gale, Catching Fire

While Gale recovers from being whipped by Peacekeepers, Katniss plants a kiss on his lips. Gale: "Hey, Katnip." Katniss: "Hey... I'm not going anywhere."
5. Katniss gives Gale pity kiss, Mockingjay - Part 1
After Gale references the above kiss, saying "I'd have to be dead to forget that... and maybe not even then," Katniss closes her eyes and puts her lips on Gale, again. Gale: "I knew you'd do that... because I'm in pain."
6. Katniss tries to win over a brain-washed Peeta, Mockingjay - Part 2
Katniss gives Peeta a dispassionate peck. Katniss: "Stay with me." Peeta (with more emotion than the kiss): "Always."

Gale knows the dead kiss isn't legit. Gale: "It's like kissing someone who's drunk... doesn't count."
