Uzo Aduba had us ALL weeping over 'The Wiz'

To say that Orange is the New Black breakout Uzo Aduba did Lena Horne proud would be an understatement. It would also fail to capture what her turn as Glinda the Good Witch meant for others. Even in its brevity, Uzo's appearance in NBC's The Wiz Live! served as a landmark moment in which women and little girls of color felt seen and valued (here's the full show if you missed it; Uzo comes in around the 1:41:50 mark). And naturally, we — as well as all of Twitter — had A LOT of feelings about it.

Like when we were waiting for her to come through and choked up, just reflecting on this moment...

When she finally descended and we almost fell out...

When she opened her mouth and took us to church…

…and we weren’t sure if we were going to make it!

When she slayed us all and demanded our edges...

When she encouraged Dorothy but we knew she was really talking to us all…

….and specifically, little black girls.

*Weeping*

Bravo, Uzo! Bravo.
