Ewoks and Jar Jar Binks are officially not in 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens'

The stars of Star Wars: The Force Awakens didn't give anything remotely spoiler-like at a top secret Sunday press conference. But we did find a few things we're definitely NOT going to see in the new super-movie exploding on screens Dec. 18.
Here's what we were able to take from the press conference.
There will be no Jar Jar Binks
The much-maligned George Lucas creation will not be back for the next film, according to conference reports on an EW live-blog. Producer Kathleen Kennedy announced that tidbit Sunday to "hoots" from reporters.
“Jar Jar is not in the movie,” Kennedy said.
No post credit scene
Director J.J. Abrams was asked if there would be a foreshadowing extra bonus after the credits. “No, there’s not,” Abrams said.
No Ewoks
The overly-adorable furry creatures will also not be in the new film. They even made Harrison Ford grumpy.
“Ewoks are not in the movie. Harrison (Ford) insisted on it," Kennedy said.
“It was in my contract,” Ford added, apparently joking.
Abrams was asked if Ewoks were appearing in the film as well, and gave this answer, sure to cause a furry furor.
“Living?” Abrams asked. “Can a man not joke with friends?”
“No," Abrams added. "There are no Ewoks in this film.”
He did add that some might have snuck on the set.
Carrie Fisher's dog does not appear
One reporter asked Fisher if her dog Gary could ever portray a “long-tongued alien” onscreen.
“I wish!” Fisher replied. “I begged J.J. (Abrams). Gary was willing to sleep with J.J.”
She did clarify that last bit: “I mean nap – but still.”
