Amy Poehler just got nominated for a Grammy
We'd like to think that winning a Grammy would be pretty high on Leslie Knope's list of life goals — behind becoming President and mastering the art of making the perfect waffle.
Amy Poehler just nabbed a 2016 Grammy nom for Best Spoken Word Album — which includes audiobooks — for the audio accompanyment to her 2014 memoir Yes Please.
And her competition is enough to give Leslie a heart attack — former president Jimmy Carter, nominated for his autobiography A Full Life: Reflections at Ninety.
Comedians have a history of winning this award, and Poehler finds herself in good company: this year's went to Joan Rivers, 2014 was Stephen Colbert, Betty White won in 2012 and Jon Stewart in 2011. Her frequent comedienne counterpart Tina Fey was nominated in 2012 for Bossypants, but lost to White.
Congrats, Amy!
